Day 59: Good things happen in threes

January 23, 2012

I can vouch for it. Good things do happen in threes. But only if you stop counting at three. It seems to have been raining wonderful all around me since 2012 began.

1) I was looking forward to my new job, but it’s different than I expected. I’m loving it!

2) Calin will officially be a preschooler at Grand Rapids Montessori in the next couple weeks. I’ve been eager to get him in there since I learned about Montessori last summer. And his soon-to-be teacher got rave reviews from a friend today. I’m ecstatic for Calin’s opportunity. He’s simply thrilled his new school doesn’t have nap time.

3) Today I got the preliminary word that I will be making my lunch every day for the next five years. I will no longer be shopping the sale racks of Ann Taylor, or frivolously spending at The Brass Owl, One Girl’s Treasure or Rock Paper Scissors. (Which actually puts me in quite a pickle. Anyone know where I can get a good deal on adjusting the size of the clothes in my closet?) But I’m pleased as punch to really start pinching the pennies. All so I can call Ottawa Hills HOME in April!! While it’s still not 100 percent, a phone call from my uncle today was pretty positive. 🙂 🙂 🙂

Those three happened within a week. Told you it was raining wonderful. My ‘good things’ list for 2012 does, however, extend past three. I’m surrounded by a variety of wonderfully-good new friends, old friends, best friends and family. And each one gets their own number.
